MONDAY 27TH NOVEMBER – FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER – A Christmas Carol

MONDAY 5TH FEBRUARY – FRIDAY 9TH FEBRUARY – Romeo and Juliet

Shakespeare’s Richard III and Romeo and Juliet, and Dickens’s A Christmas Carol have been adapted by writer and director David Willoughby, to suit an audience of a diverse range of ages and abilities and serve as a complimentary part of curriculum studies. As with all of David’s adapted performances, he has focused on making each of the productions vibrant and exciting; his primary concern being to produce enjoyable and comprehensible audience experiences that successfully engage young people with some of the greatest narratives ever written (*It should be noted that we do not recommend Richard III for young people under the age of 8). Each performance is a fast moving modern adaptation of the original work, including clever and dynamic use of both dance and music to provide the audience with a fully rewarding theatrical experience. Each performance will last for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and will be followed by a 15 minute question and answer session where the audience will have the opportunity to briefly quiz members of the cast on the performance (you therefore need to allow a slot of 1 hour 30 minutes for the full performance). This season one performance is £175, 2 performances are £300 and 3 performances are £450.
