This one week course, during February 2002, explored key elements in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, utilising text and pictorial stimuli, in the creation of this filmed rehearsal and performance material.
Trust exercises, mask-work, stage-fighting techniques and dance, were also employed in the development and the creation of scenes.

By the end of the course, participants should be able to understand and communicate significant themes and issues inherent in the play, utilising drama and theatre skills to construct meaningful creative material. They should demonstrate the ability to work as a group, giving and taking ideas, with confidence and understanding.
