The Complete Works offers DJ workshops that give hands on experience to build a foundation level to those wanting to become DJ’s for work purposes or just for fun, skills include, mixing, scratching and beat matching, incorporating different styles of music including Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, Rock & Pop, Dance and Trance. All workshop leaders have had experience in the professional field.
We find that these workshops work best when combined with RAP workshops as this gives each student more time in smaller groups on the decks. It also gives them the opportunity to write lyrics while the music is being played and gives them chance to practice alongside the DJ’s. This often culminates in a performance if the young people would like to show their work.
