Awards & Qualifications

The creative arts are employed in every aspect of our company’s operation, to devise imaginative projects and productions, which initiate debate and enable people to grow in confidence and inspire them to succeed.  However, although we consider that there is no better way to motivate people, than to engage them in arts activities, we are mindful that this should not be our only goal in this respect.  We therefore give great importance to the recognition of achievement, through the certification of the activities we offer.

The Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA)

The company is registered with the AQA Examining Board and therefore we able to offer the following nationally recognised qualifications:

Unit Awards

We are able to accredit students of any age or ability, with Awards for achievements in most subjects and topics, which are studied during the individual and group tuition sessions, workshops and courses we run. Unit Awards validate activities as worthwhile learning experiences and successful students receive certificates, which can then be placed in their record of achievement.

Entry Level Certificates

These qualifications focus on a particular subject or area of learning and can help build skills, increase knowledge and boost confidence. There are no entry requirements and certification can be awarded to students from year nine onwards.  Working to achieve an Entry Level Certificate, can be an excellent way to prepare for study at GCSE level.

GCSE Qualifications

We are an official AQA Exam Centre, therefore students are able to study practical and academic subjects to GCSE level. Students are also able sit their GCSE examinations in the premises we use to run our Complete Education provisions.

The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

We are a participating organisation in the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme. This scheme enables organisations such as ourselves to recognise the effort, endeavour and achievement of young people in a practical and positive way. The young people who are successful, are invited to attend an Achievement Awards Celebration, where they are presented with a certificate and a medal, by a well known celebrity. The scheme also provides us with useful additional funds to spend on necessary equipment, resources and projects, chosen by the young people. In addition, we are able to give well-earned recognition to outstanding tutors and workshop leaders.

The National Open College Network (NOCN)

NOCN is recognised by the Regulatory Authorities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and provides flexible, credit-based qualifications to education and training providers and employers. The Complete Works has received acceptance by NOCN, to accredit courses, which meet the educational needs of adults and young people.
