The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

The Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

We are a participating organisation in the silver Achievement Award Scheme. This award gives the young people we tutor the opportunity to excel in their chosen area of study and to receive a certifcate and a medal, documenting their success.
The award scheme enables organisations such as ourselves to recognise the effort, endevour and achievement of young people in a practical and positive way. The scheme provides us with useful additional funds to spend on necessary equipment, resources and projects which are chosen by the young people. In addition the award scheme allows us to nominate outstanding tutors and workshop leaders, to give recognition for their hard work and funding for projects and activites.

On the evening of the 31st October we were lucky enough to have Daniel Worrell, a student of ours, presented with an award.
The evening was a fantastic mix of young people singing and dancing from various groups, in-between the awards being handed out to all the young achievers. There were also some fantastic inspirational talks from Ade Adepitan and Alex Peters (Mechanical P) and the man himself Jack Petchey OBE.
Daniel has had a 100% attendance with us, and has made some fantastic short films with his tutor Andy Davies, some of which we will load up onto the website soon so watch this space!.
We are all very proud of Daniel here at The Complete Works and hope he will continue to be as much of an achiever as he has already proved himself to be. Daniel is stood at the back left of the group photo.

Well done to Harry Eardley (pictured below) on his award, he has made significant progress and we are all very pleased with his achievements and attitude towards work.

Pictured underneath Harry is Ashley Alexander & Pele Moore who also won an award for their last academic year with The Complete Works. They attended the awards ceremony on Thursday 8th October 2009 at the Hackney Empire.
